Silver and...Black???

You've probably noticed trends in fashion leaning towards a revival of  black & white and monochrome grey styling but this time, it's a little less trash and a lot more panache.  This chromatic comeback has spilled over on to the jewelry industry and it is looking good!  The emergence of alternative metals over the last decade  has paved the way for  these designs and we expect to see much more coming our way.  Alt metals such as tungsten carbide and titanium, to name a few, have made consumers a lot more comfortable with the look which we think has laid the ground work for this craze.  Color contrast is always en vogue and we expect to see the trend in black & white diamonds to continue as well.

Varying shades of sterling silver are combined to give a gradient effect to these collections.  Bright white rhodium finished sterling silver, black rhodium finished sterling for a grey finish and dark black ruthenium finished sterling give these pieces their flair.  Don't be surprised if you see more black gemstones set in white metal and white gems set in grey or "blackened" sterling silver.  These pieces are even being combined with high-karat yellow gold which looks amazing by the way.  That being said, ladies find these styles to be extremely versatile and can be worn every day and with nearly every wardrobe choice!  If you are interested in seeing more, check us out at jessethejeweler.com or stop by our store and browse through our catalogs.
