Many years ago, a Navy SEALs officer in charge of procurement was commissioned to find a more dependable watch for night missions. He discovered the Luminox collection at a trade show and looked no further. The officer worked with designers at Luminox to create a special issue Navy SEALs edition watch for his men. Luminox went on to market this watch worldwide. They were then approached by the USAF to develop a watch for their fighter pilots. Subsequently Luminox began a relationship with Lockheed Martin and was contracted to create and exclusive line of Lockheed Martin timepieces. Over the next few decades Luminox continued their efforts in forward thinking and high performance design to create timepieces for many elite military and law enforcement units which in turn adopted these watches as standard issue. Luminox watches have now gained popularity among civilians because if they're good enough for our military and law enforcement, they must be good enough for you and me. Today, Luminox continues to build relationships with professionals all over the world to develop special edition timepieces including Indy Car racers and underwater filmmakers to name a few.
